Vacheron Constantin
25250, OVERSEAS, SILVER DIAL
Sold34mmStainless Steel
A Vacheron Constantin Overseas ref. 25250/D01A-9123, in steel, at a mid-size 34mm. The silver dial is textured, and applied Arabic numerals give it a sporty, legible personality. A date window sits between four and five o'clock. The bezel carries the Overseas signature, a design drawn from the Maltese cross, Vacheron's emblem. The Maltese-cross links of the bracelet carry that same motif all the way around the wrist. A quartz movement keeps it accurate and ready to wear.
Vacheron launched the Overseas in 1996 as its integrated steel sports watch, a spiritual successor to the ref. 222 of 1977. The collection took the Maltese cross, Vacheron's symbol since the late nineteenth century, and turned it into the shape of the bezel and the bracelet links. Over the years the collection grew to include more than one size. The 25250 is the mid-size expression, an Overseas sized for a slimmer wrist. It brought the Geneva house's sports watch to a broader audience.
The bracelet is the reason. Every link is cut in the shape of half a Maltese cross, so Vacheron's own logo literally wraps around your wrist, and nobody else can do that. The bezel echoes it, so the whole watch reads as one idea. The textured silver dial with Arabic numerals gives it more sport and more warmth than the usual luxury steel watch. And at 34mm with quartz inside, it is the Overseas you can simply grab and wear. A Holy Trinity sports watch, made for daily life. Curated with intent.
