This site is operated by Maison KN Inc, a Texas corporation headquartered in Austin, Texas, which is responsible for the personal information described here. This policy covers the site, enquiries made by email, phone or message, and every purchase, sale, trade or consignment arranged with us.

Information We Collect

Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and the details of the watches you enquire about, buy, sell or consign. When you sell or consign a watch, or make a large purchase, we may also ask for proof of identity and proof of ownership.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we collect basic technical information such as your device and browser type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at the site.

Cookies. We use essential cookies to make the site work, and analytics cookies to understand how visitors use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, although some features may not.

How Your Information Is Used

We use your information to respond to enquiries, process and fulfil orders, arrange insured shipping, verify identity and ownership, manage consignments, prevent fraud, and keep the records we are legally required to keep. If you ask us to, we will also let you know about new pieces or source a specific watch for you. We will only send you marketing messages with your consent, and you can opt out at any time.

How Your Information Is Shared

We share your information only as needed to complete a transaction or meet a legal obligation. That includes with our carrier (FedEx), insurers, payment providers and banks, watchmakers where a piece is being serviced on your behalf, and our professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we never will.

Your Choices

You can ask us at any time for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. You can also unsubscribe from marketing messages. To make any of these requests, email kersh@maisonkn.com. We may need to keep some records even after a deletion request, where the law requires it.

The Security of Your Information

We protect your information with reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, and we limit access to those who need it. Payment details are handled by our payment providers and banks, not stored on this site. No system is perfectly secure, but if we ever learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you promptly and as required by law.

Retention

We keep transaction records, including identity and ownership documents, for as long as tax, accounting and anti-money-laundering rules require, which is generally up to seven years. Enquiry records that don’t lead to a transaction are kept only as long as they are useful, and then deleted.

International Transfers

We work with partners in Dubai, Hong Kong and Japan. Where a transaction requires it, your information may be processed outside the United States. When that happens, we share only what the transaction needs and protect it to the same standard described here.

Children

This site is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes take effect when posted on this page, and the date at the top will always show when it was last updated.
