2512.50.00, SEAMASTER AQUA TERRA CHRONOGRAPH, BLACK DIAL
Sold42.2mmStainless Steel
An Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Chronograph, ref. 2512.50.00, in steel with a black dial. The case measures 42.2mm, and the black dial carries a small seconds subdial, chronograph registers and a date, all laid out with the restraint the Aqua Terra is known for. Behind it ticks the Omega calibre 3301, a chronometer certified automatic chronograph with a 52-hour power reserve. Water resistance is 150 meters, under a domed sapphire crystal. It came on its steel bracelet with butterfly clasp. Black dial, steel everywhere else, nothing extra.
The Aqua Terra arrived in 2002 as the Seamaster family's everyday watch, a clean, sporty design meant to be worn anywhere. A chronograph version was a natural extension of that idea. Omega powered it with the calibre 3301, a chronometer certified automatic chronograph movement. That movement gave the Aqua Terra a serious mechanical heart at a time when the line was still defining itself. The chronograph would later be redesigned around Omega's co-axial movements. This early generation, with its black dial and slim proportions, has quietly become a favorite among those who know.
We sourced this watch for the movement inside it. The calibre 3301 is a chronometer certified automatic chronograph with a 52-hour reserve, real mechanical substance inside a watch that never shows off about it. The black dial is all business, crisp and legible, with none of the clutter that chronographs often bring. It belongs to the earlier years of the line, before the later redesigns, and that era has a clean, slightly understated character. On the steel bracelet it is a true one-watch collection. Few modern chronographs feel this honest. Curated with intent.
