Sold40mmStainless Steel

An Omega Seamaster Railmaster Master Chronometer, ref. 220.12.40.20.01.001, in stainless steel at 40mm. The grey dial carries a vertical brushed texture that moves like woven fabric in the light, set with vintage-toned markers and hands that recall the originals. Inside runs calibre 8806, a Co-Axial Master Chronometer resistant to magnetic fields of 15,000 gauss. It is worn on Omega's canvas strap with a sailcloth texture and an Omega tang buckle. It comes as a complete full set: double box, all three cards, booklet and the serialized hang tag.

Omega introduced the Railmaster in 1957 alongside the Seamaster 300 and the Speedmaster, a trio of professional watches. The Railmaster was built for people who worked near strong magnetic fields, from railway workers to scientists, and relied on an inner shield to protect its movement. The modern Railmaster keeps that purpose but solves it differently: its Master Chronometer calibre resists magnetism without a shield, certified by METAS for precision and anti-magnetism.

We sourced it for the dial. The vertical brushing gives it the look of denim or canvas, and it shifts from silver to charcoal depending on the light. The vintage-toned markers add warmth without trying to fake age. It is a clean, honest tool watch, and the full set down to the serialized hang tag makes it as complete as a modern Railmaster gets. Curated with intent.
