2763-1130-55, LÉMAN COMPLETE CALENDAR, BLACK DIAL

Sold38mmStainless Steel

A ref. 2763-1130-55, the Blancpain Léman Complete Calendar in steel. The black dial carries a full calendar laid out with restraint: day and month in twin windows beneath twelve, the date read by a slim pointer around the edge. A small seconds subdial adds a quiet rhythm at the bottom of the dial, and the 100-hour power reserve is noted right there in print, a promise made in plain sight. The Léman case is round, sporty in proportion and finished with care, more relaxed than a pure dress watch. It is a complicated watch that never feels fussy. This one wears on a black textile strap, which leans into the Léman's sporting side.

Blancpain traces its roots to 1735, and when the brand was revived in the early 1980s it built its identity around traditional mechanical complications at a time when much of the industry had turned to quartz. The complete calendar became one of its signatures, a layout of day, date and month that Blancpain returned to again and again. The Léman collection took that savoir faire and placed it in a sportier, more wearable case, named for Lake Geneva. It sat between the dress watches of the Villeret line and the tool watch world of the Fifty Fathoms. The long power reserve was a point of pride, and Blancpain chose to say so on the dial itself.

We sourced it because a complete calendar in black is a rare thing to see. Most full calendars come on white or silver dials and lean formal; this one goes dark, and the windows and pointer suddenly look technical rather than ornate. Look at the pointer date: it sweeps the outer track, leaving the centre of the dial clean. Look at the power reserve printed on the dial, 100 hours, which means a weekend off the wrist is no reason to reset a calendar. And it all sits in a case you could wear every day, on a textile strap no less. It is the Blancpain calendar for someone who does not want a dress watch. Curated with intent.
